Description

Avelox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) is an antibiotic that belongs to the drug category of fluoroquinolones. This drug is precisely used during bacterial infection in sequence to fight the on-the-go bacteria in the body.

How to use

 Always take the drug precisely as prescribed.

 Avelox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) can be taken with or without food.

 The patient shouldn’t crush or chew the Avelox tablets; they should always be swallowed whole.

 Keep away from the use of the antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium.

Uses

The usual dose given to an adult for treatment of bacterial infection at the same time avoiding antibiotics side effects is 400 mg once daily. Avelox is for the most part not recommended for children or adolescents who are below 18 years.
Storage

Avelox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) should always be stored at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Precaution

If it is so that the patient is using antacids, vitamin or some kind of mineral supplements with Avelox, then the latter should be taken at a minimum of 4 hours before or 8 hours subsequent to the supplement.

If Avelox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) is to be sued as antibiotics in pregnancy or for treating bacterial infection during pregnancy, Avelox or moxifloxacin ought to be avoided as it can be severely damaging to the unborn baby. Never use Avelox without any information to the doctor if you are pregnant.
