Description

Clindapene Gel is a combined medication of Clindamycin and Adapalene which made Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) Gel more effective for the treatment of mild to severe acne than either of the two alone. Adapalene helps to increase the penetration and helps the medication to be more effective. Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) is used to treat and prevent acne vulgaris. Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) Gel is approved to be used by the patients who have already tried with one of the medications with insufficient result.

How to use

A thin film of Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) Gel should be applied twice a day on the affected areas. Avoid eyes, lips and mucous membranes.
If skin irritation occurs due to the application of the gel, the dose can be reduced to once daily or once on alternate days.
Sometimes unseen and untreated infections aggravate acne which can be seen during the initial weeks of medication. The outcome can be seen after 10 to 12 weeks of Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) Gel therapy.

Side Effects

Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) side effects are indicated usually during the first month of therapy. Then gradually it decreases its frequency and severity. The most common side effects are skin irritation, burning sensation, erythema, sunburn and acne flares.
Other adverse effects indicated are pruritus, scaling and dryness.
Drug Interaction

Patients using topical products like medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics that have strong drying effect and products with a high concentration of alcohol, spices, limes or astringents which are potentially irritating should be cautious undergoing Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) therapy.
Patients using preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid should take a special precaution while undergoing Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) gel therapy.
Uses

Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) is used for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Storage

Store Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) gel at a temperature between 20°-25°C (68°-77°F). Excursions permitted at a temperature between 15°-30°C (59°-86°F). Do not freeze or refrigerate.

Precaution

Application of Clindapene (Clindamycin and Adapalene) gel should be discontinued if hypersensitivity or chemical irritations occur.
Avoid contact with eyes, lips, angles of the nose and mucous membranes.
Try to avoid exposure to direct sunlight while undergoing the therapy.
