The Topical dosage forms for cream and lotion:

For head lice:

1. Both for adults and for children who are more than 2 years of age or older are to apply the lotion directly to the hair and the scalp once in the day.

2. Children who are up to 2 years or younger than that, the lotion should be applied according to the doctor’s prescription.

For scabies:

1. Both for the adults and the children who are more than 2 months of age or older are to apply the cream or lotion once in the day.

2. Children who are up to 2 months of age, the lotion should be applied according to the doctor’s prescription.

Side effects of applying Permethrin (Elimite, Raloxifene) are as follows,

Do not use the following creams or lotions while using Permethrin (Elimite, Raloxifene),

 chrysanthemums
 synthetic pyrethroids

Permethrin (Elimite, Raloxifene) is effectively used fort the treatment of infections caused by head lice and also kills both the lice and their eggs removing the infection entirely from the scalp.

Always store the Permethrin (Elimite, Raloxifene) cream or lotion out of the reach of children. See that it doesn’t come in contact with direct heat or moisture. Do not keep the medicine in the refrigerator and throw away all lotions and creams that have passed the expiry date.

To prevent re-infection or distribution of the infection to other people, good health habits are a significant requirement. Shampoo all your hair pieces and wigs thoroughly, wash the bedding, and wash clothes and towels thoroughly in the washing machine. Do not forget to wash and clean the combs and hair brushes.
