Take Femara (Letrozole) only when it has been prescribed by your doctor. It is usually to be taken once daily. Your doctor may change the dose as he deems it necessary. It is best if you could take Femara (Letrozole) with food as it will reduce the chances of stomach upset. The efficacy of Femara (Letrozole) will not be apparent before a period of at least 24 months after starting to take it. So do not stop taking it unless you are specifically told to do so by your doctor. Try taking the medication at approximately the same time everyday.

Do not take Femara (Letrozole) if you are pregnant as it may lead to birth defects in your baby.

If you are unsure of being fully menopausal, it is important to take some form of contraception to prevent pregnancy.
You are not supposed to take Femara (Letrozole) if you are nursing your baby.
Dizziness is a common side effect of taking Femara (Letrozole). Try not to drive yourself during the treatment.
