Description

Femara is a drug containing Letrozole which is mainly used in the treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women. Breast tumors grow by feeding on the estrogen in the body. Femara (Letrozole) acts in reducing the amount of estrogen in the body and thus helps in suppressing breast cancer. Femara (Letrozole) is to be used only on post-menopausal women.

How to use

Take Femara (Letrozole) only when it has been prescribed by your doctor. It is usually to be taken once daily. Your doctor may change the dose as he deems it necessary. The efficacy of Femara (Letrozole) will not be apparent before a period of at least 24 months after starting to take it. Precaution

Do not take Femara (Letrozole) if you are pregnant as it may lead to birth defects in your baby.
Do not take Femara (Letrozole) if you have not passed the menopausal stage.
