Side Effects
Nicorette (Anti-smoking gum) may cause side effects in a few smokers. Common side effects which are not very serious are abnormal dreams, difficulty in sleeping, joint pain, nervousness, itching, sweating, diarrhea, dry mouth, muscle pain, redness of the skin and weakness.
Severe side effects which require emergency medical attention are pounding of the chest and allergic reactions (symptoms are hives, rashes, swelling in the mouth, face, lips, tongue and eye are).
