Drug Interaction
Remeron (Mirtazapine) antidepressant takers must tell their doctors about all the medicines and herbal products that they are already using before they start taking this drug for mental disorder. Remeron [Mirtazapine] can interact negatively with following:
• One should avoid using MAO inhibitors like linezolid, selegiline for at least two weeks after taking Remeron [Mirtazapine]
• Remeron (Mirtazapine) should be taken with caution by patients already using ACE inhibitors, Blood pressure medicines, calcium channel blockers and diuretics
• Remeron [Mirtazapine] should be avoided by patients on sedatives, antihistamines, anti seizure, narcotic pain relievers, anti anxiety medicine, muscle relaxants, cough and cold syrups and tranquilizers.
