Vestra is composed of an active ingredient known as Reboxetine and other inactive components. Vestra (Reboxetine) is a type of an antidepressant drug which is known as Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor (NRI). It is used for the treatment of depressive illness and major depression. It works on the chemical compound, a neurotransmitter known as Norepinephrine which acts as chemical messengers between the nerve cells in the brain. The release of norepinephrine from the nerve cells in the brain lightens the mood. Re-absorption of it in nerve cells no longer has the effects on mood. When there is depression, it is thought that there is a decrease amount of release of norepinephrine from nerve cells. Vestra (Reboxetine) prevents norepinephrine from getting reabsorbed into the nerve cells and helps in prolonged lightening mood. This way Vestra (Reboxetine) helps in relieving the depression. Vestra (Reboxetine) comes in a form of tablets for oral administration in two different strengths of 2mg and 4mg.
